The alloy B2 (Hastelloy) is a nickel-molybdenum commonly known for its resistance to reducing environments.  Due to its high nickel content, the alloy B2 is significantly resistant to stress corrosion cracking.

Equipment handling extreme reducing conditions
Aluminium chloride catalysts
Inert gases and vacuums
Production of pharmaceuticals, acetic acid, alkylation of ethylene and herbicides
